Services

• Accredited Visiting Service: This service provides companionship and social contact through matching a screened, volunteer friend to older people who may be lonely

• Education/Health Promotion:

  • Speakers are available to talk to groups

  • Health Promotion workshops and/or resources on a variety of subjects are developed in partnership with older people and other community groups

• Advocacy, Elder Abuse and Neglect Service: For older people who may be having difficulty with a problem or are concerned about a friend or neighbour.  Trained staff are available for home visits if needed.  This is a discreet and confidential service

• Prescott Club: A luncheon Club for frail older people providing a two course hot dinner and entertainment for 60-80 guests once a week for 35 weeks of the year

• Information Resources: Monthly newsletter for members; Calendar of Activities includes over 300 activities for older people on the North Shore; Information Directory for Older Adults updated annually; phamplets and written material available
