1 October 2010 at Hope Community Church. Free buses leave from Bus stop in Bridge Street following the usual route through Tahunanui, Stoke and Richmond. Depart Nelson at 10.00am, 12.00pm and 2.00pm and return from Hope at 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.45pm.

20th Anniversary of the IDOP: International celebrations 

The United Nations' (UN) International Day of Older Persons is celebrated on 1 October each year as a special day for older persons worldwide. This year's 20th Anniversary celebration was held in New York on 7 October.
