It's all about respect

Any older person is at risk of elder abuse or neglect. It often stems from attitudes that are ageist and disrespectful of older people.

In short, It’s all about respect.

This new training resource examines what ‘respect’ means and includes case studies that show how a lack of respect can lead to elder abuse and neglect.

The interactive DVD format provides opportunities to discuss ways that carers and professionals can identify and prevent this insidious form of family violence.

The contributions of Mäori, Pacific peoples and other ethnic groups make this DVD a must-have for every carer and professional involved with older people in New Zealand.
